Mobil 1 Named Official Oil of SCCA

Sports Car Club of America, Inc. (SCCA) has announced that Mobil 1 has been named the “Official Oil of SCCA.” The partnership is designed to provide SCCA members with numerous benefits and will place Mobil 1, the world’s leading synthetic motor oil brand, firmly in front of the 45,000 members of the organization.

As part of the joint promotional agreement, all SCCA members will receive an exclusive 20 percent discount on product purchases at MobilRacingStore.com.

“The Mobil 1 brand is synonymous with performance and motorsports across the globe and we’re excited to bring the SCCA and Mobil 1 together through this partnership,” SCCA Vice President of Marketing & Communications Eric Prill said. “We look forward to growing this new relationship for years to come.”

“Since 1944, the SCCA has been bringing people together who are passionate about automobile racing and we’re excited to make Mobil 1 a part of that mission,” said Leah Ritter, marketing advisor, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company. “Whether it’s autocrossing, rallying or road racing, the SCCA is a home for racers of all kinds. Mobil 1 has a racing heritage in some of the world’s most premier racing sanctioning bodies, but this partnership allows us to reach out to the men and woman who are wrenching on their own cars every weekend.”

In addition to the discount for members, competitors using Mobil 1 products will be eligible for a sizeable contingency program, including cash and prizes, at the 2010 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Subway at Road America.

Under the agreement, Mobil 1 will have a presence at major SCCA National events, including the Runoffs and the Tire Rack® SCCA Solo National Championships in Lincoln, Neb.

Members can access their exclusive Mobil 1 discount through the SCCA Discounts page after logging into their member profile at http://ams.scca.com.
