• So far this year there have been two races: Austin Hill, driving the 2018 championship-winning Hattori entry, won at Daytona Beach and Kyle Busch in a KBM truck won at Atlanta.
• Kyle Busch will be racing again this weekend and, as the winningest driver in this series, he is always a favourite to win. Beyond that, the standard lineup of drivers will be at Las Vegas, notably the other two young KBM drivers (Harrison Burton and Todd Gilliland), the three GMS entries including defending series champion Brett Moffitt, Sheldon Creed and Halmar-backed Stewart Friesen. The four ThorSport drivers are entered, including veteran Johnny Sauter who almost won the championship last year.

Saturday, March 2: NASCAR Xfinity Boyd Gaming 300
• 200 laps = 300 milles; Stages: 45/45/110 laps

• So far this year Michael Annett has won at Daytona in the No. 1 JR Motorsports entry while Christopher Bell had a dominant win at Atlanta in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Toyota.
• Kyle Busch is entered here in the No. 18 JGR Toyota, making it a triple-header weekend for him; perhaps he might sweep all three races? There are three Ford entries: Cole Custer, Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe. And four JRM entries including Annett, Noah Gragson, and Zane Smith. Donald Theetge, a Pinty’s Series regular will be driving a DGM Racing (Mario Gosselin) entry.

Sunday, March 3: NASCAR MENCS Pennzoil 400
• 267 laps = 400.5 miles; Stages: 80/80/107 laps
TV: FOX/TSN1/3 at 3:30 pm
• This race has been run annually since 1998 with two races run here last year. Kevin Harvick won in March while Brad Keselowski was the winner in September during the playoffs.
• Denny Hamlin won the first MENCS round this year at Daytona and Keselowski won at Atlanta last Sunday.
• Last weekend the cars were in the new ‘slow’ configuration with less power and more drag (due to the larger rear spoilers) and this weekend they will have the full set of these rules in effect including the front air ducts which are supposed to make passing easier. We will see whether this will make the racing better or not. All the usual entries will be present in the 38 car field.
