On track: The Honda Civic Si continues to impress

Honda’s presence in Canada has been nothing short of incredible. It’s even more so when you look at the stiff competition it has faced in the small and mid-size vehicle segment, and the fact the Civic and its various iterations have been the top selling cars in Canada for 14 consecutive years.

Group Managing Editor Shaun Keenan and I had Toronto Motorsports Park to ourselves earlier this month, so we decided to test the latest Civic Si sedan in a number of exercises. We’ve got to say, the results are more than complimentary. On the track or in the streets, the Si handles its own – and it’s hard not to love banging a fast, short-throw six-speed manual in and out of the corners. The Si really has come a long way since it's launch in 1986.

Stay tuned for a full review and video in our Fall issue of PRN Ignition. In the meantime enjoy some track and historical photos, and a cool video celebrating the company’s humble beginnings from funny looking hatchbacks and small eco-boxes.
