1. Formula 1 ‘Heineken Dutch Grand Prix’ at Zandvoort
• Race Date: Sunday, September 5, 2021
• TV: TSN4/5 at 8:55A to 11:00

THE VENUE:
• Circuit Zandvoort, Zandvoort, NL
• 4.259 km (2.646 mi) 14 turn road course, clockwise direction.
• This wil be the first time an F1 Grand Prix race will be held on this newest verison of the circuit. It has been reconfigured to have a smaller footprint t make up for land sold after F1 racing left here after the 1985 GP. While the track does have a significantly smaller footprint, the twisted-in configuration produces a track length similar to before. The track layout used in 1985 was 4.252 km, essentially the same length as today – and the track length from 1948 to 1989 was always about the same length.
• The track is about 1000 m north of the Zandvoort train station on the direct line from Amsterdam and Haarlem, making for convenient access for race fans.
• Click HERE for a map of the Zandvoort Circuit.

THE EVENT:
• 72 laps/306.648 km (190.54 mi)

• For the first time since 1985, F1 cars will race at Zandvoort with the circuit having been redeveloped with high-speed, banked corners (Turns 3 and 14) that are banked steeper than those at Indianapolis. With that in mind, Pirelli's hardest three compounds will be in play this weekend: two sets of C1 (hards), three sets of C2 (mediums) and eight sets of C3 (softs).

PREVIOUS RESULTS:
• The most recent F1 Grand Prix held here at Zandvoort was on August 25, 1985. Podium Results: 1. Niki Lauda, McLaren-TAG, 2. Alain Prost, McLaren-TAG, 3. Ayrton Senna, Lotus-Renault.
